Moving Forward in Life

Many of us in this world of lies are living on a pursuit of happiness am I right? A lot of us want a piece of the successful pie and want to have enough wealth to last us and generations to come before us. Well not necessarily because a lot of people are selfish and would rather spend that money on rims, car stereos, and expensive homes. Much respect to you if you have the revenue to pull that off without hurting your pocket.

Knowledge is Power.

There's simply too much in this world for one to discover. But I want to discover it all. You can only know as much as you learn. Knowledge is power. - Leland Yarbrough
_____

You never really know something for sure until you've experienced it or seen it with your own eyes. That's what makes research such a powerful tool because you don't have to believe everything you read, but if you choose you can take bits and pieces of what you've learned and use it to your benefit as your own beliefs. Research is a key ingredient in a nurturing life, knowing as much as you can should be a virtue from birth taught by all parents to their children, this is why education is so important, not necessarily to get a lavish job, but to decipher in this world what's real and what's not.

A lot of stuff in this world makes sense, still doesn't mean it's necessarily true.

A World of Lies

Our world is filled with governmental lies, downsizing of cultural nature, and liberals willing to take a stand but shut down due to over-controlling higher powers ie. the FCC.

We as humans need to determine what all is real and what all is fake, which is almost impossible in the world of today.

Leland's Blackberry 9550 Storm 2 [Review]

Some of the main questions I constantly receive from people on twitter are: 'What model BB do you use?' and 'Why do you love your Blackberry so much?'

The answer to the first one is simple, it's in the title of a previous blogpost.

Why I Love Blackberry.

A lot of my followers on Twitter are probably annoyed with how many #teamblackberry posts I've actually tweeted. Many of which being non-Blackberry users and Blackberry haters. Me being a Blackberry lover feels the need to clarify with everyone why I actually love my Blackberry and why I don't affiliate myself with any other phone manufacturer on the market.

Simply put, this phone does everything I need it to do and some, and it had done it first.

Reasoning:
In a phone I don't need all the flashy apps, media, etc. All I need is the core functions of a phone and connection to my social media, then everything's all good. This phone does well with threaded text messaging [but lacks previews, there's apps for that however], BBM is a must have for most Blackberry users [it helps users connect with other Blackberry users fast and efficiently, notice how many apps in the Droid-world and iPhone-world are producing such functionality as this that RIM has MASTARED], the Phone Quality is great [although battery life while using the phone could be improved], Camera and Video Camera are easy to use and viewing pictures is easy [although speed could be increased], and my favorite part: this phone is simply me [the use of countless themes that can change the UI into whatever you want it be and endless wallpapers help aid in making the phone feel like it's just for you].

My Backup:
iPhone iOS4 has came out not too long and they've only added functionality that Blackberry has had long ago. In fact I believe that Blackberry has more functionality than any iPhone and any Droid can offer. Back on the iOS4 subject, the biggest feature added by Apple is the Multi-Tasking which I have tried on my iPod Touch 3G. I must say I wasn't impressed at all, but like any new Operating System it takes time for application developers to catch up to make the best of the functionality. But still like I said before Blackberry has mastered this portion of the phone world, all we have to do is hold down the BB button then all of our running apps are right there already loaded and cached. Sounds amazing huh? This is the Blackberry I see by RIM. And in due time it will only get better.

Blackberry is still in development with OS6, which to me sounds like a simply UI uplifting to catch up with the 'snazziness' of all the newer model phones out there by the countless manufacturers. The productivity is already there and should be improved upon in the upcoming OS. Speed should be upgraded too, but with the older device models like my Storm 2, the 256mb of RAM just won't cut it. In the end though with the new OS6 I'm sure a lot of BB users will be happy and many not so happy due to old devices, but like they say, sometimes you just have to keep up with the Jones'. [I know my stuff, I have well over 1700 posts on Crackberry. Click for Proof.]

If you need more clarification as to why I still stick with #teamBlackberry then just hit me up in a comment to this blog and I'll express my answers as thoroughly as possible.

Much Respect,

Hello World.

This is just a little summary about what this blog will be about, if I actually put forth the effort to continue to post to it.

Simply put, it will probably one of the most random blogs you'll ever see but most of the content will probably be random thoughts on my mind. I'm a free-spirited person and love to try new things so why not share my random ass thoughts with the world. Hell, I already do it on Twitter.

My main interests though would have to be anything technology related. Also I'm into Social Networking as you can see from my Twitter profile. I'm a veteran. I've been on Social Networking sites ever since a young lad ever since around 6th or 7th grade from the infamous http://www.studentcenter.org website. Then I ventured off into the Myspace world, simply for contact with friends but turned it into the full Social Networking experience. Yes I did the W4W and the S4S and I received fan signs etc. from my 8k+ friends at one point. But that became very tedious and annoying so I stepped into the Facebook world for a while to keep in touch with real contacts that I actually knew. Coming from Myspace I didn't like Facebook's interface so I simple went back to Myspace and just deleted everyone I didn't know. Then later in life the hottest thing out was Facebook so I hopped back on the craze and became an application addict. Then all of a sudden people were talking about Twitter so I made one, but it just collected dust for a while under the name LSPrestige, being my Xbox Live gamertag at the time. Then I changed it to what the nerdworld would refer to me as: leecott. That name has followed me for many years around Blackberry websites, Newgrounds, various random sites, etc. Then I started to appreciate Twitter more and started adding to my follower count. [I'm thinking about posting a blog later about an easy and sure-fire way to gain them] Nowadays you'll see me as LelandDuzIt, which is, ironically, the URL to this blog. I pulled the name from the song Eazy Duz It, and thought it would be very unique, which it is. I haven't came across one person from my 10,000+ Followers with DuzIt in their name unless I asked them to change it. [Props to the #WeDuzIt fam] <- This is what the internet has made me. Outside of this whole internet thing I do actually have a life and hang with friends and the whole 9 yards so don't get the shit twisted.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the way I'll be getting your brain to think in upcoming blogs.

Much respect,
- Leland Yarbrough [@LelandDuzIt]
