Deviation of the Week [12.20.10]

Welcome to the second installment of the Deviation of the Week. Due to the lack of posting this yesterday on time, I decided it's only fair if I post two deviations rather one.

The following deviations were chosen simply because I love using my laptop, and having a comforting area to use it is a must. The following setups are very warming and are inspiration for any setup I'll create in the future.

The first one comes from ~GCTHawk7 and the setup looks simply amazing. I'm a fan of having more than one monitor to work on at one time.

The second comes from ~sh3kk and the setup is very warming and illuminating.

Fail of the Week! [12.18.10]

Welcome back for the second installment of Fail of the Week!
The following video makes me laugh every time I watch it.

*Hit and runs are very bad.

Hit and Run FAIL

Respect.

Respect - you give it to receive it; but most the people I meet show respect as a first impression. This first impression carries out to establish friendships and relationships that we cherish and want to continue. This flag, hanging at my buddy Mike's place,  proves that all of the respect he's given out as a first impression, expanded and broadened into mutual respect between many individuals. This flag shows the signatures and remarks of all the familiar faces he's known, knows, and respects. This flag is truly a symbol of respect in itself.

Old Wisdom.

You really have to take a moment to experience a heart-to-heart conversation with an elder.

I just had one with my 92 year old greatgrandmother and the amount of wisdom she sent my way was simply amazing.

The older you are, the more you've seen, the more you've gained, the more you've lost, the more you've been through; the more you've lived.

Take the time to listen to them and take in what they have to say to the heart. They know what they're talking about [usually].

Call Of Duty: Black Ops [Review]

Released on November 9, 2010, CoD: Black Ops showed less demand than Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which is easy to believe due to the backing out of Infinity Ward, whom released MW2.

Treyarch had a lot of work to do since their release of Call Of Duty: World At War didn't go so smoothly either. Aside from the decreased graphics from MW2, overall, Black Ops is very well balanced.

Hendrix Masterpiece

This little piece is just a photo taken on my 9550 Blackberry Storm 2.
I simply reversed the contrast on my Blackberry by going to Options->Accessibility->Contrast and switching it to reverse contrast. [This idea was given to me by Austin Douglas]
After I did so I looked through my pictures and was shocked to see how amazing, to me, the images look.
This picture was completely random, taken in my dorm room a few weeks back.

I've showcased this photo on my deviantArt page located here.

To further this amazement to myself, I posted recent forum posts on the Crackberry.com forums [found here] encouraging others to do this simple task on their Blackberry, then taking a screenshot, and later posting it in the thread.
So far the thread has a good base, submissions-wise.

I figured the success on the thread can be furthermore acclimated here by guests of this blog posting pictures they've taken, then reverse contrast them, and post in the comment section of this blog post below.
Don't forget to critique the above photo.

Any photos I see that deserve watchful eyes I will post in this blog post at later dates [depending on the success of this post]. I'll also showcase them on Twitter and even deviantArt if requested.

Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing

For sure my favorite Hendrix song ever.
Live at Royal Albert Hall = Best Version!

A little showcasing for some more art.

For all submissions check out the link.

Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze

My second favorite Hendrix song with a bit of showcasing for my art.
